During SXSW 2019, Michelob ULTRA Pure Gold hosted the festival’s first-ever sunset mass mediation event, Pure Golden Hour, and Panavid, in partnership with Mosaic, was there to help make it an unforgettable experience. Panavid provided audio production, lighting production, and staging for the event where over 2,000 guests gathered at the HEB Terrace of The Long Center for the Performing Arts in Austin, Texas.
With a breath-taking backdrop of downtown Austin, the event featured a mass meditation led by Jesse Israel of The Big Quiet, as well as live performances by Miguel, Bishop Briggs, Cautious Clay, and DJ Captain Planet.
Among an assortment of audio gear, lighting gear, staging and rigging, Panavid used a d&b audio system —comprised of 4 V8 line arrays, 4 V12 line arrays, 4 E8 point sources, 2 V10P point sources, 4 VSub subwoofers, 8 M4 stage monitors, 2 D80 amplifiers and 2 D20 amplifiers — all run through a Yamaha QL5 digital console.
Panavid supplied 12 Chroma-Q Color Force II 12 LED battens and 12 Chroma-Q Color One 100X LED Pars to splash the entire event in gold, and 8 ETC Source Four LED 2 Lustr Array lekos to light the stage. All the lighting was controlled by a Jands Stage CL lighting board.
